Heading to Straddie? Get your van checked first
Plenty of Cleveland caravanners head across to North Stradbroke Island on the vehicle ferry from Toondah Harbour. Beach camping is fantastic, but salt water, sand and corrugated tracks are hard on a caravan. Wheel bearings, electric brakes, suspension and the chassis all cop it.
We recommend a service before a big Straddie trip, and a check-up when you get home if you’ve been on the sand. We’ll look for corrosion, check and repack bearings where needed, adjust the brakes and make sure everything’s ready for the next trip.

Whether your van lives in the driveway, down the side of the house or in a storage yard, we bring the tools and parts to you. All we need is room to work around the van, room to put the awning out if you’d like it checked, and access to 240V power.

A $100 deposit secures your booking and comes off your final invoice. If your van isn’t under cover and we need to cancel because of bad weather, you won’t lose your deposit – we’ll simply reschedule.
